Formby Hall, 21st July 2016
Clients joined I-PAYE and SPi staff at Formby Hall Golf Resort, to take part in the 2nd I-PAYE and SPi Golf Tournament, and what an absolutely brilliant day we had!
The day started off with bacon butties, catching up with old friends and introductions to new, before the serious stuff started.
The course was perfect and the weather was fabulous, just warm sunshine all day, and the quality of the golf played was just as glorious! We did know we had some very good, competitive golfers in the field, but the amazing final scores were testament to how many of our clients spend too much time on the golf course, or perhaps, we should look more closely at handicaps next time………!
The halfway house Hog Roast was provided by Manna Foods and made a very welcome pitstop.
After the golf was finished, the drinks started flowing and the rounds were discussed on a shot by shot basis - as only golfers can do! With the atmosphere building we were called through for dinner.
I-PAYE and SPi have chosen the Vital Signs Foundation as their adopted charity and so their founder, Steve Haw, was invited up after dinner to tell everyone a bit more about the charity and the fantastic work they do. It is fair to say that the whole room was captivated and very moved to hear Steve talk about the reason why the Foundation came to be.
We hold these events to bring our clients together to say thank you for your ongoing support, but also, this year, we decided to try to raise a bit of money for this very important cause.
The Vital Signs Foundation provides free screenings for 15-35 years old for undiagnosed heart conditions and we are very pleased to be able to support their important work. If you want to know more about the work they do their website is http://www.vsf.org.uk
We asked our guests to pay £10 to enter ‘Beat the Pro’ and all proceeds went to VSF. We matched the collection and are really pleased to say this raised £900.
Then it was time for the hotly anticipated Prize Presentations and Shaun McGrail, Partner at SPI and Director of I-PAYE was pleased to announce the winners and present the prizes.

The atmosphere throughout the whole day and night was absolutely fantastic and time went by far too quickly. It will live long in the memory of everyone here and no doubt with everyone who joined us to make it such a massive success.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, travelling from both near and far, who made the day so much fun, and special thanks to Leighton and all of his colleagues at Formby Hall for making the whole day run so smoothly for us.
We look forward to doing it all again in 2018 or maybe sooner……… in the meantime, a few photos can be found here
